Fred made it safely to Germany to begin a two-week stay that will include dates with his Generations Trio, a funk workshop in Paris, and a run with his New JBs. Check the calendar for dates and tickets. Soon after he returns home it will be time for some jazz. He's looking forward to exchanging roles with Dwayne Dolphin, his New JBs' bassist since 1990. The New Orleans funk community gave Fred more than just proverbial flowers at last weekend's Nola Funk Fest. Getting the chance to play with so many excellent musicians made it a truly funky good time that warmed his heart and his horn for his upcoming period of European touring. Fred's looking forward to spreading himself around as artist at large for this year's Nola Funk Fest , this weekend Oct. 17-19.
