Alabama, Texas, Europe, Colorado and more!

Where's Fred? On his way to Europe again with his Generations Trio. Check the calendar now to get your tickets.

At an age when many are retired and many never reach, Fred's still living and sharing his signature funky good time, spreading it "all o're all lands” as he pledged in the “Hymn" from “Funk School.”

Less than 24 hours after his New JBs’ warmly-received performance at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Fred was feeling the warmth of his home state, where the Alabama Humanities Alliance honored him as one of the four 2026 Fellows.

Just before that he was in the country Georgia, where he met new friend and fan Dwight Howard in Tblisi. Just after he had a fun time with the nice people at the century-old Carver Community Cultural Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Check these recent snaps and stay tuned to the calendar for a big 2027. Colorado, Georgia, New York, London , Paris … Fred’s coming to a city near you!i
