Back from Brazil with Maceo!

The BMW Jazz Festival in Sao Paulo and Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, brought the Maceo Parker Band with special guests Fred Wesley and Pee Wee Ellis for a total of three shows. The festival, which also included performances by several other stellar artists including young Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews and Orleans Avenue, included a huge show at the beautiful Ibirapuera Park in Sao Paulo that was broadcast nationally.

  2. Wassup Fred!
I went to your show at Via Funchal - São Paulo. I'm a lover of black music like Funk, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Blues, Rap and so much more. I already saw your show in 2011 at Republica's Square and Vergueiro Cultural Centre in the Virada Cultural. Man, was dope for Me! I'm a trombone student too and I gotta a lot of funk Lp's in my collection. Was a big pleasure to see Ya and the New Jb's taking fire on the people playing classical funk tunes like Pass the Peas, Dawn Right I'm Somebody and many others. At the concert's end The Vergueiro Cultural Centre turns a great House Party!!! Do You remember that?

I agree with James Brown when He told:
"For Me happiness is Fred Wesley playing his horn."

A huge hug from Mr. Funky straight from Brazil.
